We know planning your wedding comes with plenty of questions, and we’re here to make the process as smooth as possible. Explore our FAQ section for answers to common inquiries about our venue, services, and everything you need to know to plan your perfect day.

How large is the indoor space?

It is (insert sq ft when I know) and can accommodate up to 330 guests.

When do we have access to the site?

Day of, you may gain access to the site as early as 8 a.m. For those staying in one of our cabins, check-in is at 4 p.m. so please plan accordingly or check in the day before. We ask that you wrap up the celebration at 11 p.m. at the latest.

Can we use our own caterer?

Absolutely! We just ask that you let us know who you will be using so we know who to expect and have our commercial kitchen ready for them. Caterers must be licensed and include clean-up at the end of the night.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Per the state of Illinois in granting The Venue at Dragonfly Lakes its liquor license, all alcohol must be provided through us. No outside alcohol is permitted.

Can we fish in the lakes?

Yes! Each lake is stocked with plenty of Midwest freshwater fish. BYOFP (bring your own fishing pole) if you want to cast a line.

Is there a discount for booking a cabin?

Unfortunately, we do not offer discounts for wedding guests or members of the wedding party when booking a cabin.

Is there parking onsite?

Yes, we have an oversized parking lot capable of holding up to 400 cars. A shuttle will run every 10 minutes for an hour before the ceremony to transport anyone who does not wish to walk.
